The elected and appointed officials who serve the Borough of Carlstadt are dedicated to serving The Public above all else. They are committed to providing exceptional citizen service at all times.

Mayor William Roseman
Will was born and raised in Carlstadt and attended all of our public schools. He has one son Charles. Will is a Certified Public Manager and a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens Academy. There are few things more important to him than our community and its welfare. He is and has been an active member in numerous community organizations. He has worked very hard to keep Carlstadt one of the finest communities in Bergen County. It is his great pleasure to serve this community. Will works together with an outstanding council comprised of people who serve our town with dedication, honor, hard work and commitment. His goal is to do what is best for our town.
Will encourages everyone to attend Mayor and Council meetings, which are held on the third Monday of each month.
Council Liaison Chairman – Fire Department
Councilman Joseph Crifasi
Joe is proud to serve the residents of the Borough of Carlstadt. He is a lifelong resident of Carlstadt, and went through the Carlstadt school system. Joe is a graduate of Montclair State University with a Bachelor Degree in Urban and Environmental Planning. His wife Darlene and he have two children, James and Joey Jr. He was a member of the Governor’s Megan Law Internet Registry Council and is a member of the Board of Directors for 55 Kip Senior Center. Joe’s main goal as a Council member is to see that the Borough is run as cost efficient as possible. He is an active member in numerous community organizations where he works hard to make Carlstadt a better place to live.

Councilman Craig Lahullier
Craig’s family has a long history in our community. Craig was born and raised in Carlstadt and attended our public schools. He learned early the value of family, friendship and service to community. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a local business owner. He is married to Janice and is the proud father of Dana and Steven. Craig brings over twenty-five years
of knowledge from his professional and civic organization experience to his seat on the Borough Council. Craig is active in various non-profit organizations.

Councilman Dennis Ritchie
Dennis was born and raised in Carlstadt. He attended all of our public schools and graduated Seton Hall University and Quinnipiac School of Law. He has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and is an attorney in Bergen County. Dennis is married to Sharon and is a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and the Carlstadt/East Rutherford Lions Club. In addition to professional leadership and civic responsibility, Dennis gives back to the community through volunteerism and supports many charitable organizations.

Councilman David Stoltz
Dave is a life long Carlstadt resident with family roots in the Borough going back over 100 years. He is married to Denise and they have a son David. Dave is a graduate of Carlstadt elementary schools and Becton Regional High School. After graduating from William Paterson College with a B.A. in Business Administration he became involved in numerous civic and charitable activities. Dave is presently employed by Bergen Community College in the Public Safety Department. He has been a member of the Fire Department for over 36 years and is a past Captain of Engine Co. 701. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his Borough Council post.

Councilman Bob Zimmermann
Bob was born and raised in Carlstadt and attended school in the Borough. He is a high school history teacher at Becton Regional High School and a graduate of Montclair State University. Bob is married to Ellen and has two boys: Bobby, Jr. and Danny. His family has a history of service to our community. Bob’s great-grandfather was the Mayor of Carlstadt many years ago. Bob is very active in recreation basketball as a coach for the Borough’s parks and recreation program. He takes great pleasure in working with the children in our community.

Councilman Rich Bartlett
Rich is a Carlstadt native, educated in the public school system, and the son of a past Captain on the Carlstadt Police Department. He and his wife Sue have three children: Rich, Danielle, and Matthew. After receiving an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Bergen Community College, Rich has enjoyed a successful career working for Holy Name Hospital as a Business Manager in the Radiology Department. Rich is happy to use his business experience and management skills on the Borough Council to make Carlstadt a great place to live. He is a member of the Carlstadt Fire Department and a past Fire Chief.
