Mayor Craig Lahullier. Craig’s family has a long history in our community. Craig was born and raised in Carlstadt and attended our public schools. He learned early the value of family, friendship and service to the community. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a local business owner. He is married to Janice and is the proud father of Dana and Steven. Craig brings over twenty-five years of knowledge from his professional and civic organization experience to his seat on the Borough Council. Craig served as a Councilman for 15 years and as Council President. Craig is active in various non-profit organizations.
Councilman Will Roseman re-joined the Borough Council in January 2018. Will previously served for 36 years combined as a member of the council and as Mayor. A lifelong resident of Carlstadt, Will has been a tireless and vocal advocate for Carlstadt residents throughout his years of service most notably in the fight against proposed housing in the Meadowlands and the opposition of the proliferation of adult entertainment establishments in the Borough. Professionally Will works as the Executive Director of The Explorers Club, a non-profit organization based in New York City.
Councilman James Lenoy. As a councilman, Jim has embodied a new generation of leadership in Carlstadt – one who was not born here but has chosen Carlstadt as his home and place to raise his family with his wife Marilyn. Jim has been at the Core of the Community as an activist, youth sports coach, and currently a member of Carlstadt’s Borough’s Council leadership team. Jim has extensive management experience in the corporate world and business acumen that he had brought to the council helping to ensure our government maintains the same levels of responsibility that are expected in the private sector. Jim’s primary objective is ensuring that the “quality of life” for all of our residents remains the same as the day he chose Carlstadt his home.
Councilman Bob Zimmermann. Bob was born and raised in Carlstadt and attended school in the Borough. He is a high school history teacher at Becton Regional High School and a graduate of Montclair State University. Bob is married to Ellen and has two boys: Bobby, Jr., and Danny. His family has a history of service to our community. Bob’s great-grandfather was the Mayor of Carlstadt many years ago. Bob is very active in recreation basketball as a coach for the Borough’s parks and recreation program. He takes great pleasure in working with the children in our community.
Councilman Richard Bartlett. Richard is a Carlstadt native, educated in the public school system, and the son of a past Deputy Chief on the Carlstadt Police Department. He and his wife Sue have three children: Richard, Danielle, and Matthew. After receiving an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Bergen Community College, Richard has enjoyed a successful career working for Holy Name Hospital as a Business Manager in the Radiology Department. Richard is happy to use his business experience and management skills on the Borough Council to make Carlstadt a great place to live. He is a member of the Carlstadt Fire Department and a past Fire Chief.
Councilman David Stoltz. Dave is a life long Carlstadt resident with family roots in the Borough going back over 100 years. He is married to Denise and they have a son David. Dave is a graduate of Carlstadt elementary schools and Becton Regional High School. After graduating from William Paterson College with a B.A. in Business Administration he became involved in numerous civic and charitable activities. Dave is presently employed by Bergen Community College in the Public Safety Department. He has been a member of the Fire Department for over 36 years and is a past Captain of Engine Co. 701. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his Borough Council post.
Councilman Joseph Emerson. Joe is another example of the new generation of leaders in Carlstadt after choosing to relocate here with his wife in 1994 to raise their three children. Joe quickly assimilated into the community becoming very active with the Carlstadt recreation programs from coaching to ultimately serving on its Board of Directors and later as President. Under Joe’s leadership, the recreation fields and facilities have been significantly upgraded and the teams have excelled in tournament play. In January of 2013, Joe was selected to finish the Council term of Dennis Richie upon his selection as Borough Attorney. As a coach, a councilman, and overall involved member of the community, Joe Emerson is clearly a Core of the Community
