Councilman Will Roseman re-joined the Borough Council in January 2018.  Will previously served for 36 years combined as a member of the council and as Mayor. A lifelong resident of Carlstadt, Will has been a tireless and vocal advocate for Carlstadt residents throughout his years of service most notably in the fight against proposed housing in the Meadowlands and the opposition of the proliferation of adult entertainment establishments in the Borough.  Professionally Will works as the Executive Director of The Explorers Club, a non-profit organization based in New York City.

Councilman James Lenoy.  As a councilman, Jim has embodied a new generation of leadership in Carlstadt – one who was not born here but has chosen Carlstadt as his home and place to raise his family with his wife Marilyn. Jim has been at the Core of the Community as an activist, youth sports coach, and currently a member of Carlstadt’s Borough’s Council leadership team.  Jim has extensive management experience in the corporate world and business acumen that he had brought to the council helping to ensure our government maintains the same levels of responsibility that are expected in the private sector. Jim’s primary objective is ensuring that the “quality of life” for all of our residents remains the same as the day he chose Carlstadt his home.

Councilman Joseph Emerson. Joe is another example of the new generation of leaders in Carlstadt after choosing to relocate here with his wife in 1994 to raise their three children.  Joe quickly assimilated into the community becoming very active with the Carlstadt recreation programs from coaching to ultimately serving on its Board of Directors and later as President. Under Joe’s leadership, the recreation fields and facilities have been significantly upgraded and the teams have excelled in tournament play.  In January of 2013, Joe was selected to finish the Council term of Dennis Richie upon his selection as Borough Attorney.  As a coach, a councilman, and overall involved member of the community, Joe Emerson is clearly a Core of the Community
