Joseph Emerson

Councilman Joseph Emerson. Joe is another example of the new generation of leaders in Carlstadt after choosing to relocate here with his wife in 1994 to raise their three children.  Joe quickly assimilated into the community becoming very active with the Carlstadt recreation programs from coaching to ultimately serving on its Board of Directors and later as President. Under Joe’s leadership, the recreation fields and facilities have been significantly upgraded and the teams have excelled in tournament play.  In January of 2013, Joe was selected to finish the Council term of Dennis Richie upon his selection as Borough Attorney.  As a coach, a councilman, and overall involved member of the community, Joe Emerson is clearly a Core of the Community.
